Spiritual Life Coaching

I have been involved in Pagan, Buddhist, New Age and Occult circles since I was about 16 years old and well it has changed me in ways I could not even imagine. It was around 21 years old that I officially left the faith I was raised in, in order to pursue these teachings more directly and more consistenly. These days I am shocked at what I can achieve and what truly magical changes have come about in my life. I want to share these special gifts with others.

A little bit about what I offer:

The following are different spiritual life coaching services which start off with things more tailored to you and move on to things more syllabus oriented.

The Path is YOURS

This coaching is very tailored to you: what you think of as spiritual, who you respect and your overall spiritual goals. I found that when I was at spiritual conferences in the past, I would often talk about one issue and find people offering solutions that completely disregarded my overall plan for my spirituality and often the very question I asked. Often when I wanted to learn some specifics about Qabalah they would tell me some lines from Starwars, Babylon 5 and Farscape. They were very useful expressions, but not what I was asking for and often attempted to change my overall goals and plans rather than help to help me pursue them. They were not good spiritual coaches! A good spiritual coach would offer guidance that relates specifically to the spirituality that the client is actually pursuing. It would be quite inefficient to offer someone advice on herbal medicine if their end goal was to summon angels using spoken incantations. This is why your overall goals and direction are important. For this reason, we draw up some directions right from the beginning based on what you are personally drawn to. I hope to ask you what you think is spiritual, what is not and why you think that. I will also ask you what authors you are drawn to and why you feel that they are learned and why you want to learn from them. This should give me an overall picture of your current spiritual trajectory and we can plan sessions according to your current needs.

Tarot Guided Life Planning

This is basically identical to Life Coaching, but we use Tarot cards to explore the different areas of your life, which will be important. This often leads us to plan more areas of your life and draw up more complete plans.

Warning: The cards are not too concerned about being polite. They will be as honest about misfortune as they will fortune. Usually they provide advice to avoid the worst tragedy, but frequently they are unclear until the event has come about. Also I have been told in the past that the cards are spooky because of the accuracy. This is not really suitable for people who do not believe in tarot reading because sometimes the accuracy can be creepy and off-putting. Despite this experience I cannot guarantee that the cards will be accurate.

Elemental Balancing

Normally people drawn to Wicca, Hermetics, Astro-theurgy or Thelema will benefit from balancing the 4 elements. This relates directly to the alchemical practices hidden in the initiations of these teachings. The aim is for the initiate to live a more balanced life, which will fascilitate both their mystical ascent and thaumaturgy (wonderworking / results-based magic).

For each element there is a process of relating to the element, diagnosis, action and review. To begin with I will teach them to conjure the four elemental kings into their Dreamspace/Inner Temple so they have begin to relate with the element throught a mental avatar. When they are comfortable, they can do this a few times in order to find out how they can best balance the inner elements in their lives and be a more balanced person living a more balanced life. This entirely down to what they feel the elemental kings are saying to them. I will sometimes provide guidance if I feel the action does not relate to the relevant element, but it is primarily up to the initiate to draw conclusions from this diagnosis process and tell me their main concerns. I will draw up an agreed action plan with them. This is a personal goal that must come from the initiate and this begins their direct interaction with the universe. What comes next in this process often doesn't seem very spiritual because you go into the physical world and try to make the elements balanced there one at a time. This can be through how your express, channel and own your emotions, this can be how you work with and treat your body, demonstrate assertiveness, earn money, cook and eat well, exercise and channel your passions. It might even be working directly with the elements for example: learning to swim, fly a kite, start a controlled fire and build something out of clay.

Often this process of action takes place over 3 months - 1 year and regular sessions to review progress and see the changes achieved over time. Seeing the change achieved can be very encouraging for future efforts and often builds confidence in the initiate.

For initiates guided to work on assertiveness, cognitive distortion, fears, emotional acceptance, self-kindness and body issues there are specific workbooks that can be used for those sessions which will be a part of the review and action process.

Shadow Work

This is coming to have a direct experience of your own Jungian shadow. "What is the shadow?" I might hear you say. Well it is the parts of us that we are less likely to identify with. They are often our weaknesses, our less desirable qualities that we like to hide and the things we try to convince ourselves we are not. We push those aspects into a small part of ourselves which Jung termed the "Shadow". Through working with this process we learn to accept the sides of ourselves we do not like as much and through practical work we learn to work with those weaknesses both in ritual, in conversation and normal life.

This process consists of counselling, guided meditation and hypnotherapy.

Warning: This is often an emotional journey that might require that you take breaks from it. Also, too often in my own life accepting my Shadow has led to people thinking I am very self-deprecating because of my awareness of my weaknesses. In truth, I love all of myself, I am just more aware of my shadow than other people. This can seem like low-confidence when presented to the public incorrectly. Weirdly, it is not. In fact, it takes a lot of courage to accept the shadow. In some sessions, I recommend the shadow worker practice talking about their weaknesses in confident ways to avoid this.

Energy Work

For people interested in energy work there is a full syllabus to attend to and I tend to work slowly through it focusing on balancing, grounding and protecting techniques before awakening ourselves to a whole new world that might have us out of balance.

Session 1 - We often start with basic energy constructs feeling our first feels of energy primarily using tactile methods. These early constructs can be programmed them to perform spells, but they rarely last very long. Immediately after first experiences of energy we do ground and centring hopefully within the first session.

Session 2 - Then we work on making the constructs last longer by tying them to physical objects and feeding them energy. This allows us to do more interesting things with them and use them to start looking at energy reality. It also builds up capacity to perceive energy and recgonise different qualities.

Sessions 3 & 4 - We also look deeply at the energy body and its various maps using the new perceptions. This can be a long and complicated process sometimes over multiple sessions learning about chakras, perceiving ones own body and reading other people's subtle bodies and seeing the aura.

Session 5 - We move on to energy interaction during communication, including shielding, filtering, warding and other forms of psychic self-defense. In this process, you might see how energy links are formed and delibrately break some. You may also come to notice involuntary connections you have and learn to remove them.

Session 6 & 7 (2 weeks between them) - After this session we have a session with some basic self-hypnosis and meditation and using links for basic dreamwalking / astral travel and returning to the body. We can also focus on preparing the subtle body for astral projection. The practitioner is required to prepare their subtle body over the next 2 weeks to get ready for early astral projection attempts. Finally a session based on astral projection. The practitioner needs to practice this regularly to achieve success.

Session 8 - Finally a session on invocation, channelling and vortexes completes the energy work experience and it is up to the practitioners to use these techniques going forward.

Witchy Practices

Some basic sessions on altar layout, elemental weapons, drawing the circle and quarters, symbolic great rite, wheel of the year, history of magic, talisman creation, witch bottles, fetishes, major traditions in the neopagan world and many more can be used to break up the intense work of the above sessions. Sessions on wiccan initiations 1st - 3rd, Ritual wiccenings, hand fastings and separation celebrations are available to the right candidates. Finally a session on running your local coven is available to people interested in running local covens.

Ceremonial Magic

For people who have completed the energy work sessions we can approach the basics of ceremonial magic using Franz Bardons techniques, the information in Agrippa's Three Books of Occult philosophy, ritual work based around the Goetia of Mathers and Crowley, the Heptameron of Peter d'Abano, method of Johanes Trithemius and more.
